Craft Brewers Alliance, Inc., representing Widmer Brothers Brewing Company, Redhook Ale Brewery and Kona Brewing Co. has an immediate opening for a Packaging Operator at the Widmer Brothers Brewery in Portland, OR.

Specific Duties Include:

Operate semi-automated bottling/racking equipment (including bottle filler, bottle labeler, case packer), equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, perform sanitation duties, work closely with packaging/racking leads to ensure that we are packaging quality beer every time.

Education/Skills Needed:

• High School diploma; GED equivalent required.
• Experience in the beverage or food packaging line industry, specifically with fillers, labelers, drop case bottle packers &/or vertical baggers is preferred.
• An aptitude for trouble shooting basic mechanical & electrical systems is required
• Ability to work all shifts, additional hours & weekends as required
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 – 75lbs
• Forklift driving skills
• Strong attention to detail & quality
• Perform sanitation duties (experience with basic sanitation practices)
• Requires eye & ear protection (company provided)
• Accurate record keeping
• Familiarization with Lean principles and World Class Manufacturing a plus (5S, JIT Systems, Self Directed Work Teams, Visual Workplace, etc.)
